Kea Room fun

The Kea children have had great fun using the rakau and pois. Kairo and Imogen are our "NZ Idols" as both children show great delight when singing to their friends at mat time.

"Dancing with the stars"

The Keas show that they can "rock n' roll" with the best.

A big farewell to Catherine who has gone up to Preschool. Welcome to Maxwell wh has joined us this week.

Pukeko children in a box

The babies in the Pukeko Room had a great time exploring in and out of a very big box!! Our new stove came in the box and it made a great tunnel to crawl through. Check out the photos below.

"The Ferry Trip"

The Weka children and the teachers planned a trip to Devonport. We boarded the bus and got to the ferry buildings. All the children were so excited about the ferry ride. Some of them had been on a ferry but a few had never been before. We arrived in Devonport and had a great time playing at the playground. It was lunch and the most awesome surprise awaited them! Mr Whippy arrived!! The children loved the ice cream. It was a great trip.

A big thank you to all our parent helpers. It was a great day!!!

Co-operation in the Tuatara Room

The tuatara children are developing a sense of "RESPECT" for each other and are giving each other space. They enjoy playing alongside each other. When children work co-operatively they develop the virtues of "FRIENDLINESS", "TOLERANCE" AND "TRUST".

Preschool children go on Easter Hunt

The weka children had a great time decorating their Easter baskets in preparation for the Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday. the Easter bunny hopped by hiding eggs throughout the playground. As you can see by the look on the children's faces they enjoyed hunting for their eggs and finding them in all different places such as the Kauri Cottage and the water trough.

Toddler News

Farewell to Josie and Sophia.
Welcome to Amy and Samuel.

Bus/Train Trip
Bayfield EEC children are the best, crossing the main Swanson Road - the drivers waed and beeped at the children, our children smiled and said "Thank you," and a wonderful time was had by all.

Grandparents Day
http://picasaweb.google.com/bayfieldeec/ToddlerNews
The children enjoyed the company of our grandparents. Some read stories, others joined them outdoors and everyone just thrived on the attention given to them. "More books, read more books."
Kairo, Imogen and Abigail sang songs to the grandparents who came to the early mat time.

Tuatara News

The Tuatara children have been using their virtues in maintaining their relationships with each other. For example, reading a book together, taking turns on the obstacle course, building sandcastles together in the sandpit.
The Nursery staff would like to thank the grandparents for spending some time with us on Friday and making it successful!
