ToddlerMuseum Trip

Last Thursday, the 26th March, the toddlers, teachers and parent helpers all went to the Auckland Museum. We were ready to go like a swarm of buzzy bees and made our way on to the bus. Once we were all on board we were off. Some of us sang "The Wheels on the Bus!" There was lots of chatter and excitement as we all looked out our windows to see what we could see. Annabelle and Emelia could see the trees and we stopped at some lights where a big truck stopped beside us and the driver waved to us. All the children were so excited to be on the bus. It wasn't long and we arrived at the Museum. We all hopped off the bus and made our way around to the back entrance where we meet by our tour guide, Barbara. We all got into our 4 colour groups and got badges. We made our way into the Museum and walked like spiders and went up to Weird and Wonderful. When we got there we sat on the brown sofa and we broke up into our colour coded groups to do different activities. We looked at the insects with magnifying glasses, did insect stamps, clay moulds of different insects and insect games, puzzles and books. All the children had a great time. Emelia, Mia and Sienna really enjoyed stamping different insects on their paper. We then got the opportunity to explore the rest of the Museum. Michaella, Roman, Sienna, Annabelle and Emelia all had turns making music in the volcano section. We saw a big elephant and lots of different birds. At 11.30 a.m. we all meet outside the main entrance for lunch. There were lots of hungry tummies after a busy morning in the Museum. After we had finished eating we crossed over to a big field and had a big run around. We then made our way back to the bus, where a very tired Roman and Edward fell asleep. Most of the chidlren were still excited about being on the bus again. Ava, Emelia, Annabelle, Mia and Sienna all had big smiles on their faces as the bus brought us back to Bayfield. All the children all had a BIG SLEEP after their busy morning out!
Thank you so much to all our parent helpers. the trip would have been possible without your help. It was a great success.
Thanks,
Molly, Melissa, Gu, Jade and Bobbi

Toddler Parents
If your child is toilet training, can you please put them in appropriate clothing that they can take off and put on themselves.

Thanks
